She’s gone from my life.

The Green Hornet, my 1972 Dodge Dart, finally passed from my possession yesterday. It went to Blake, a young man who now owns his very first car. I was pleased to sell it to him, because it will serve him well: it’s a large mobile steel protective bubble. I should know, considering I myself took an unintentional 360-degree tour of the intersection at 10th & Alder in downtown Portland, courtesy of a Honda Civic. The Civic was totalled. The Hornet lived to drive another day!

I acquired the Dart back in June 2001, and put only about 40,000 miles on it during my tenure as its owner. May it serve you well, Blake!
