Kolbe celebrated his First Mass, April 21, 1918. I took this photo last year during our honeymoon, when Julie and I attended Mass on the feast of St. Maximilian - August 14, the day he was martyred at Auschwitz. Maximilian Mary was the name I took when I entered the Order of Preachers (the Dominicans).
